Alex Weinlounge in Herxheim am Berg

On January 19, 2021 I ordered 2 cases of wine online through the shop. Today at noon, January 21, 2021, it was delivered to me via DHL. Top service !!! So far I have tasted the wines in Herxheim and taken them with me. In times of Corona, the delivery service is a very good alternative. My wife and our friends are already looking forward to the days when wine tasting is possible again on site and we can enjoy the beautiful ambience and the very good wines.

It's a shame that nothing can be tried at the moment because of Corona. Hopefully it will be over soon

We have been coming back here for a few years. The wines are terrific, the staff extremely friendly, the food refined and particularly creative. We love that, because "normal" can be found elsewhere. Plus the great location with a view of the Palatinate Sea of ​​Vines. Compliments to the operators, they're not just restaurateurs, they're entrepreneurs. Even in CORONA times, extremely security, with simultaneous attention to the feel-good character for the guests. Very professional! Thank you, we keep coming back??

The atmosphere is very good. The shop is luxurious, beautiful, decorated very nicely. There are seats in both the outside and inside zones on both floors. For sitting and sipping wine, the atmosphere is great. But the food tastes enough But the price is quite expensive. There is no one to take orders here, but we have to walk to the counter. Actually a very nice location. The drinks are of good quality. When it came to food, however, we got very upset. Sheep's cheese was ordered and a slice of sheep's cheese with a small piece of baguette was delivered. When asked for more bread, the statement was made that there is no more bread. I also wanted an extra piece for my son, but it didn't come either. I would have paid for it if it was that. What a pity...

You just notice the attention to detail here. Especially the sparkling wine is awesome. It doesn't have to hide behind any bad champagne.

Wine tasting possible even during Corona times, friendly service despite annoying customers

Wonderful view, really a nice spot, but: The staff is really very grim, unfriendly and there can be no talk of a comfortable atmosphere in terms of service. I actually wanted to address these words to the lounge itself, i.e. write a letter to the management, but then, when reading the website, I saw that the boss himself was there. And it was exactly this gentleman who ensured maximum negative income. There was no "Hello" or "Good day" at the door, we were greeted with the words "Inside yes, outside no", outrageous and unfriendly, so you don't feel welcome. Apparently you don't need it, at least it makes the impression. The rest of the staff not friendly either, a laugh? You can search, but you will not find it. With one exception: A very young, blonde and not too tall lady is exempt from this criticism, she was the only friendly and personable service person. But what can you expect if the boss exemplifies such behavior or apparently cannot deal with stress and customer crowds. Wine selection okay, but better, food okay. Another visit? Certainly not.

I was absolutely pleasantly surprised by the wines when I drank them for the first time. The red wines in particular are very pleasant to drink, they have a "smoothness" and hardly any acidity, so they also go well with lighter dishes and do not only have to be served with hearty meat dishes. Top shop. We have been there so often and have always felt comfortable. Delicious food, great wines and the price is perfectly fine. Furthermore, the great view is worth mentioning.

What a wonderful afternoon spent tasting wine; followed by a great lunch accompanied by an amazing view. We had wanted to stop by this great spot, and Sunday provided the perfect opportunity. We enjoyed our wine tasting bringing home a couple of bottles of wine. Then we crossed into Alexweinlounge which is co-located with the winery, but a separate business. For lunch we enjoyed their white asparagus ravioli, meat platter, and cheese platter were fabulous. Our bottle of 2017 Sauvignon Blanc trochen was refreshing, and all 4 of us enjoyed it. Well worth stopping for us.

A wine cooperative with ideas. Wine club for example. New creations every now and then. The wines are balanced and well positioned in terms of price. The lounge is always worth a visit, wonderful view over the Rhine plain and the audience is well mixed and normal .......

A very nicely located place for tasting some of the best wines in the area. The view is very nice and there are settings outside. If there is a place to enjoy a good wine in spring or autumn, this is it.
